Shay parts uncovered at Ravensbourne Mountain Retreat

A working bee at the Ravensbourne Mountain Retreat, formerly known as Sketches, on the 2nd of December, 2015, was undertaken in order to gain clear access to the Shay loco parts stored at that site. A full check of the number and type of parts has not been completed yet but early indications are that they include a boiler (part of Shay 906), fuel and water tender (part of Shay 2097), a line shaft, some crown gears, some arch bar bogie frames, some wheels and a short section of rail.
